Along with so many friends in this inspiring industry, it is with very heavy hearts that we have temporarily closed our restaurants Galvin La Chapelle, Galvin HOP, Galvin Green Man, Galvin at The Athenaeum and Galvin at Windows.
Set in the beautiful Essex countryside, close to Great Waltham in a building dating back to 1341, Galvin Green Man is an award winning, Bib Gourmand British pub and modern restaurant, boasting panoramic views and an extensive garden.
Fresh, Seasonal, Daily
Born in Romford and bought up in Brentwood, our early inspiration and memories stem from beautiful Essex.
It was where we used to fish and scrump (the art of subtly swiping fruit from an allotment or an overhanging tree in someone’s garden). So this part of the world means everything to us – a place responsible for everything that has resulted since.
“We were born and raised in Essex, so when there was the opportunity of running and pub and restaurant in this part of the world, the answer was obvious. It’s one of the most exciting projects we’ve ever taken on.” Chris Galvin
