Our Bib Gourmand awarded restaurant, focuses on both seasonality and locality of our produce, ensuring the values of the award are at the core of our menu, ‘a friendly establishment that serves good food at moderate prices’.
Galvin Green Man are proud winners of the National Pub & Bar awards Nationally, for the East of England as well as the County. We pride ourselves on our ever changing seasonal menu, local suppliers & our rotating local brewery offering.
Our venue is not only home to our full dining room & dog friendly pub but also a beautiful garden with children’s play area as well as bespoke private dining rooms. Our outdoor terrace is the perfect spot for al fresco dining during the warmer months. From our pub snacks to our Sunday roast, we created our Essex hotspot with every detail in mind to create the perfect dining experience.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the closest station?
Chelmsford train station (but is not within walking distance). Taxi (before 11pm costs average £17.2 to the station) or there is a bus stop opposite that stops once an hour. Last bus service being 22:43.
Is there parking?
Yes, We have a large carpark but on peek days (Saturday & Sunday) we recommend leaving time to park. Off road parking on the kerb is allowed but cars are left at there own risk (We just kindly ask guests to ensure the pathway is not blocked for pedestrians)
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The bar & restaurant are wheelchair accessible using our main entrance. Our Pub is accessible using our pub main entrance and ramp.
To access the restrooms from the pub – the easiest route is vacating the pub through the front and travel round & in the front door. (The pub is up 2 steps from the main bar & restaurant entrance)
Are there accessible toilets?
Yes, we have accessible toilets.
Is there accessible parking available?
Yes, we have two designated and clearing stated parking spaces in front of the main doors
Is there baby changing facilities?
Yes, within our accessible toilets
Do you have a dress code?
Our dress code is smart casual.
