The restaurant reflects the look and style of the great French bistrots of Paris and Lyon, and serves deep-flavoured dishes at reasonable prices, showcasing the best seasonal produce.

Opening Hours:

We will re-open 7 days a week for lunch from 12pm and dinner from 5.30pm from Wednesday 2nd December 2020.

 

Please note that the last orders are at 10pm and customers must depart the venue by 11pm.

Thursday 24th- Saturday 26th December: Closed

Sunday 27th- Thursday 31st December: Open

Friday 1st January: Closed

Well, 2020 turned out to be quite a year, didn’t it? Now is the time to look ahead and put all of the plans in place to celebrate Christmas with your family, friends and colleagues.

Join us this Christmas and New Year at Galvin Bistrot & Bar for what the French call Le Réveillon, a traditional Christmas meal for family and friends featuring dishes inspired by the great bistrots of Paris and Lyon, excellent wine and (of course) champagne.

The Bistrot & Bar has outside, heated terrace seating if you are from mixed-households and inside seating if you are meeting for business or with members of your household.

Festive Menus

Chris Galvin and his team have put together a fantastic selection of French festive menus for you to enjoy with your family or colleagues. We have three course menus available from £30 per person, or £55 with optional paired wines.

Highlights from the menu include; caramalised confit duck leg cassoulet & continental parsley, daube of Herofordshire beef, pommes purée, bourguignonne garnish & red wine jus and classic crème brûlée.

New Year’s Eve

We hope to be able to ring in the New Year with you, but if the curfew is still in place in December we will of course alter our plans.

We’ll have live entertainment from 8pm onwards to help ring in the New Year! We cannot wait to celebrate the arrival of 2021!

Our kitchen team led by Chris Galvin speaks to our suppliers every day to ensure we only use the freshest produce.  We will never compromise on quality. And if we run out of a dish, we will simply accept that.

Beer doesn’t get fresher

Delivered weekly and stored in our gleaming copper tanks above the bar, our fresh unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell on draft is a showstopper of a beer. It’s the closest thing to drinking beer straight from the brewery.
