We are thrilled to announce that Rebecca Hansford, co-owner of the stunning Furleigh Estate in West Dorset, will host our upcoming wine pairing dinner at Galvin La Chapelle on Wednesday the 8th of June.

Award-Winning English Sparkling Wine from the Jurassic Coast

Furleigh Estate is a stone’s throw from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with similar soils to Champagne. Over 22,000 vines grow on 85 acres of vineyards interspersed with lakes, grazing land and surrounded by woodland.

Rebecca and her husband Ian left their careers in financial services in the early 2000s and, by a quirk of fate, purchased the dairy farm where Rebecca had lived as a child. They planted their first vineyards between.

2005 and 2006. Today, over 22,000 vines flourish on the south-facing slopes of the estate, primarily cultivating Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier to produce exceptional sparkling wines. Bacchus and Rondo grapes are also grown to create fine still white, rosé, and red varieties.

A Specially Curated Seven-Course Tasting Menu

Head Chef Arturo Granato has crafted a spectacular seasonal menu to perfectly complement a hand-picked selection of wines showcasing the very best of the estate. Menu highlights include pickled Tropea onion with kimchi dressing, bottarga, and nettle oil; barbecued monkfish served with baby artichoke, sea herbs, finger lime, and a rich clam velouté; alongside a Suffolk pork duo with a BBQ Jersey Royal, wild garlic, and red pepper chutney. The experience includes all wine pairings, tea, coffee, and the service charge.

Spaces for this exclusive dinner are strictly limited. Guests will dine at individual tables within our spectacular Grade II listed main hall, while a select few seats are available on the Gallery mezzanine at a communal table hosted by Rebecca herself.

If you have a specific seating preference, please email our reservations team after purchasing your tickets, and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request.
