To ensure the best dining experience, we do not permit guests to bring their own wines or alcoholic beverages. Our extensive wine list has been carefully curated by our sommeliers to complement our menus, and our Events Team will be delighted to help you choose the perfect wines for your event.

Can we order ALC for the private dining rooms?

Our private dining menus are seasonally curated by our Chef Director to offer the best dining experience for groups. As such, the à la carte menu is not available in our private dining rooms.

Are children allowed in the PDR spaces?

Yes, children are welcome. We can provide children’s menu options where appropriate, and highchairs are available upon request.

Is there enough space to have a drink reception before we are seated for dinner?

Absolutely. Depending on your guest numbers and the room booked, we can arrange a drinks and canapé reception before you take your seats for lunch/dinner. Our Events Team will recommend the best option based on your event.

What other services can you recommend to make it more special?

We offer a selection of enhancements to elevate your event, including: Floral arrangements, Personalised menus and place cards, Champagne or cocktail receptions, Sommelier-selected wines to complement your menu, and Corporate gifting and branded touches.

As our private dining rooms are not fully enclosed, we are unable to accommodate microphones, large screens or projectors. If you have a specific requirement, our Events Team will be happy to discuss the available options with you.

Can we play our own music?

As our private dining rooms are not fully enclosed, we are unable to accommodate personal music systems, DJs or live entertainment. Background music is provided throughout the restaurant to maintain the atmosphere for all guests.

Can the room layout be changed?

This depends on the room. The Arch is designed to accommodate slimline table layouts only, while the Gallery and Conservatory offer greater flexibility. Our Events Team will be happy to discuss the best layout options for your event.

Do you cater for allergies?

Yes. We can cater for all allergies and dietary requirements with prior notice. Please let our Events Team know of any requirements in advance so our chefs can accommodate them safely.

When do we have access to the room?

Access times depend on our bookings that day. We typically allow access up to one hour before your guests arrive, and our Events Team will be happy to discuss your requirements and accommodate them wherever possible.

Are dogs allowed in the private dining rooms?

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in our restaurants or private dining rooms. At Galvin Bistrot & Bar, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the outdoor terrace, subject to suitable weather conditions.

Will there be noise from the restaurant in the Arch?

As the Arch is not a fully enclosed private room, you may experience some ambient restaurant atmosphere. However, our floor-to-ceiling curtains create an intimate setting, offering privacy while retaining the warm ambience of the restaurant without it feeling intrusive.

Can we host a standing reception in the Gallery?

Due to the low balustrades surrounding the Gallery, we are unable to accommodate fully standing receptions for safety reasons. If you’re looking to host a drinks reception, Galvin Bistrot & Bar is an excellent alternative and is perfectly suited to standing events.

Will we share the Conservatory with other guests?

No. If you have exclusively booked the Conservatory, no other guests will be seated in the space. As the room is not fully enclosed, you may occasionally see members of our team passing through while providing service, but the area remains reserved exclusively for your event.
