On the 3rd of February 2026, we are delighted to welcome author Torie True to our regular book club, hosted in the welcoming surroundings of our traditional Essex pub.
Torie will be discussing her book, Seven Kitchens, an exploration of the remarkable diversity of Indian cuisine. The book delves into the culinary traditions, techniques, flavours and ingredients of seven distinct communities across India.
Your Ticket and Signed Book
The event will take place in our elegant main dining room. Tickets are priced at £65 per person, which includes a signed copy of the book and a specially curated two-course set menu showcasing our signature modern British cooking.
Event Timings and Drinks
Guests are welcome to arrive for pre-lunch drinks in the bar from 11.30am. Seating will begin at 12.00pm, with the talk commencing at 12.45pm, after which the table will be yours to enjoy lunch.
Wine pairings and drinks packages will be available to add on during the event.
