On a hill in Hermitage, the humble syrah was given cult like status in Paul Jaboulet’s Hermitage La Chapelle, 1961.
Chris and Jeff visited the vineyard and were so inspired that when they opened Galvin La Chapelle in 2009 it felt a natural choice to pay homage to this historic wine in the name of their restaurant.
Galvin La Chapelle is one of only a handful of restaurants to hold full vertical of Hermitage La Chapelle on their wine list.
Head Chef Arturo Granato has crafted an exquisite menu to compliment a selection of wines from Maison Jaboulet including a Hermitage La Chapelle 2011 & 1999 en magnum.
Highlight dishes from the menu include Scottish lobster raviolo, squid, smoked ricotta & dashi; Fallow deer, oyster, fondant cep & BBQ Pommes Anna; and apple tarte Tatin, Calvados caramel & smoked milk ice cream.
