We have the profound privilege of working alongside Ukrainian colleagues, and like so many, we are devastated that countless families are being displaced. Once you are part of our restaurant brigade, you are forever part of the Galvin family; therefore, we feel a deep responsibility to use our platform to offer meaningful assistance.

How to Contribute During Your Visit

While we have never previously asked our diners for charitable contributions, we are sincerely hoping you will support our current fundraising efforts. Throughout March, guests dining beneath the historic arches of St Botolph’s Hall will have the opportunity to add a voluntary donation to their bill.

“We know from previous global conflicts that armed violence is the primary driver of hunger. With such unrest comes displacement, severe disruptions to local supply chains, a loss of livelihood, and soaring essential costs. Families are rapidly driven into poverty, struggling to access the most basic nourishment. It is estimated that millions of individuals in Ukraine will urgently require humanitarian assistance this year.

A dedicated team from Action Against Hunger recently travelled to the Polish border to meticulously assess how best to provide life-saving assistance—both within Ukraine and for those seeking refuge in neighbouring countries. Whatever the future holds, we have made an unwavering commitment to help. We understand all too well that when conflict begins, hunger inevitably follows”.
