Bistrot de Luxe – Now Closed
Our aim was to create the best French restaurant in London. For just over 12 years, we believed we did exactly that with Bistrot de Luxe.
It’s where The Galvin Brothers partnership and mantra was born; one built around an ethos of classic techniques and recipes with our own twist.
French cuisine without the unnecessary fuss, so customary to the London restaurant scene at the time.
As with every one of our existing restaurants, our standards were uncompromising. So when it became apparent that we couldn’t sustain that quality at everyday prices, the decision to close the doors was as obvious as it was painful.
However, we continue to serve many of Bistrot de Luxe’s signature dishes at its more relaxed sibling Galvin HOP. No tablecloths, a menu of modern classics and fresh unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell delivered weekly from the Czech Republic, help keep the spirit of Bistrot de Luxe alive.
