Michelin Restaurant Mayfair Galvin Chance

Initiated by Chris Galvin, Chef Patron and Fred Sirieix, General Manager at Galvin at Windows, Galvin’s Chance is an into work programme for young people from 18-24 who are not in education or employment.

Galvin’s Chance offers them training and opportunities for a front of house career in some of the most prestigious hotels, restaurants and food service management organisations in London.

The programme is designed to give them a chance to change and improve their lives for the better and to inspire those around them.

Through principal partnership arrangements with DM Thomas Foundation for Young People and The Springboard Charity, the project provides mentoring, work experience, skills training, employment and the potential to earn recognised qualifications in hospitality.

Now in its 10th year, Galvin’s Chance has helped to change the lives of over 200 young people since 2009. Discover more about 10 Years of Galvin’s Chance and meet some of the young people who have secured employment through the programme.

“After my time at Galvin at Windows working as a Hostess, I went back into education and studied BSc Business and Management at Birkbeck University. I then got a job in an Investments Management firm as an Equities Analyst. Even though I am no longer in the hospitality industry, I will never forget the head start that Galvin’s Chance gave me and am forever grateful.”
