Michelin French Restaurant London Hunger Emergency Appeal

The humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, feels particularly close to home. We’ve had the privilege to work alongside Ukranian staff, and like you, we are devastaed that so many families are being displaced by the ongoing conflict. Once you are part of the Galvin family, you’re always a part of the Galvin family and so we feel it’s only right to use our platforms to try to help.

We’ve never asked our guests to donate before, but this month we are hoping you’ll support our fundraising efforts, by adding a voluntary donation of £1 to your bill in the month of March.

All funds will be donated to Action Against Hungers Emergency Appeal for Ukraine.

“We know from other conflicts, that armed violence is the number one driver of hunger. With war comes displacement, disruptions to local supply chains, little to no income, and soaring fuel and food prices. Families are driven into poverty and struggle to access food and basic needs. It is estimated that at least 2.9 million people in Ukraine will need humanitarian assistance in 2022.

Over the weekend, a team from Action Against Hunger has travelled to the Ukrainian border with Poland and is currently assessing how we can best provide humanitarian assistance- whether in Ukraine or working with people who cross the borders into neighbouring countries. Whatever happens, we’ve made a commitment to help. We know that when armed conflict begins – hunger follows.”
