Discover Furleigh Estate

We are excited to announce that Rebecca Hansford, co-owner of the stunning Furleigh Estate in West Dorset will be hosting our next wine dinner at Galvin La Chapelle, on Wednesday 8th of June.

Furleigh Estate is a stone’s throw from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with similar soils to Champagne. Over 22,000 vines grow on 85 acres of vineyards interspersed with lakes, grazing land and surrounded by woodland.

Rebecca and her husband Ian left their careers in financial services in the early 2000’s and by a quirk of fate, purchased the dairy farm where Rebecca had lived as a child. They planted the first vineyards in

2005/2006. Currently over 22,000 vines grow on the south facing slopes of the Estate, the majority of which are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier used to produce quality sparkling wines. Bacchus and Rondo are also grown to produce fine still white, rosé, and red wines.

Head Chef Arturo has created a spectacular menu to pair with a brilliant selection of wines that showcase the best of the Estate. Highlights from the menu include Pickled Tropea onion, kimchi dressing, bottarga & nettle oil; Barbecued monkfish, baby artichoke, sea herbs, finger lime & clam velouté; and Suffolk pork duo, BBQ Jersey Royal, wild garlic & red pepper chutney.

Spaces for this dinner are very limited. Guests will be dining in the main restaurant on individual tables, there are also limited spaces available in the Gallery at the communal dining table hosted by Rebecca. Tickets are £175per person and include a seven course tasting menu with paired wines, tea coffee and service charge.
