French Restaurant Catena Dinner

This month’s wine dinner at Galvin La Chapelle will take guests to the extreme high-altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills of Mendoza. Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata is known for pioneering the resurrection of Malbec. The Catena family and their wines have won an accolade of awards including Wine Enthusiast Lifetime Achievement Award 2021, Drinks International Most Admired Wine Brand 2021, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate Extraordinary Wine Award 2017, Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Winery List, and Vivino’s Most Awarded Winery in the World.

Catena believes that great wine begins in the vineyard. Their vision is to make rich, unforgettable wines that are true to the place that they come from. Head Chef Arturo Granato has created a six-course menu to pair with an incredible selection of Catena wines. Highlight dishes include cured Scottish scallop with green apple, kimchi and Oscietra caviar; wild turbot, chestnut, Amalfi lemon & Guinness sauce and Honey glazed Slades Down duck, baby beets and fermented figs.
